That needs loosening and then the heater cartridge can be removed. Of course how much crud plastic you have will determine how easy that is to do. WebI’ve tried socks on my MK3S+s and Mini+s and saw no difference in any area of reported benefit so removed them after finding it a bit more work to wire brush clean.
