The 240V supply cable has black, white and bare. I measured ~250V across the supply black & white (no load). The instructions for the cooktop aren’t clear to me ( - shown below). The house currently has 6/3 plus the bare ground ran through house then through conduit to outdoor location. I don't believe I can use the bare ground as ground, I think it need insulated green. Can someone confirm?
